CAPPO 2021 Conference Update

Dear CAPPO Member

For more than 105 years, CAPPO has been uniting procurement professionals across the state to enhance your knowledge and skills while establishing a California focused network to share best practices and build your professional connections.

Our annual conference is the keystone event to accomplish these goals. Normally at this time of the year, the CAPPO Conference Team would be putting the final touches on the upcoming annual in-person conference, however because of pandemic, we are thinking of innovative ways to accomplish these goals.  The Conference Committee is meeting weekly to assess and make adjustments to the conference while considering all necessary and appropriate public health and safety considerations.

We are excited to share with you information of our efforts to pivot from the traditional onsite conference to a hybrid conference, which will allow us to continue to provide an exceptional experience to all members both in-person and remotely. Below is a short summary of what we are planning for this hybrid approach.

We look forward to sharing conference highlights with you in due course, but in the meantime, please see below for a glimpse of the format and schedule.

Upon attending the conference, members will leave energized and ready to implement new ideas that will positively influence their agencies and communities.

While the pandemic has devastated everyone from those living in major cities to small rural townships, it has also shone a bright light on the important contributions and work that public procurement professionals do to support our agencies and communities in supporting COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.

Let us assure you, there WILL be a 104th Annual Conference, delivered to the same high professional standards as past years.  More details will follow, and we hope you will plan to participate in the manner which makes the most sense for you and your organization.
