Giving heroes their tools

When it comes to keeping critical equipment on the road, fleet leaders in the city of Goodyear (AZ) know a thing or two about the importance of making sure things run smoothly.

“Without fleet, fire can’t put out fires; the police department can’t catch the bad guys. It all comes down to fleet being able to take care of their vehicles because those are their tools. If they don’t have their tools, they can’t do their job,” says Fleet Superintendent Kevin Devery.

While serving those who serve, Devery and his team utilize cooperative purchasing to buy the equipment and supplies they need, when and where they need them.
