CoProcure: The newest movement in collaborative procurement

Sunday, January 16, 2022

Mariel Reed
Founder and CEO, CoProcure

CoProcure is excited to attend the CAPPO Expo this year as a Gold+ sponsor. CoProcure’s free search engine for cooperative and piggybackable contracts can save you up to 20 hours each week. Use CoProcure to search 50,000+ contracts from national cooperatives, including OMNIA Partners, Sourcewell, NASPO ValuePoint, as well as piggybackable contracts from state and local agencies like the State of California, Orange County, University of California, and more - all in one place, for free.

We’re building CoProcure because we believe that public procurement professionals deserve excellent, free tools for the critical work you do. As a former public servant with the City and County of San Francisco, I felt proud of the procurement projects I worked on that made a real impact in people’s lives. But I was often frustrated by the lack of information available to make purchasing decisions. It shouldn’t take hours of phone calls, emails, and internet searches to leverage the wisdom and previous work of your peers. Public procurement is very collaborative; CoProcure is building free technology to empower that spirit of collaboration.

Over 50 agencies in California are already using CoProcure regularly to find contracts from nearby agencies like State of California, San Diego County, City of Los Angeles, as well as other agencies and cooperatives across the country. The impact has been clear, with procurement teams reporting that CoProcure saves them up to 20 hours each week. Don’t just take my word for it, here’s what some of your colleagues in procurement are saying:

CoProcure has saved me hours of time looking for and vetting cooperative contracts. I have confidence when searching on CoProcure that I’m getting the best information possible.  I have shared CoProcure with co-workers to empower them to search on their own from a reliable source, because otherwise, they wouldn’t know where to start.”

- Jan Sherar, City of Santee, CA

“CoProcure is such a valuable tool. I spend a lot of time tracking down cooperative contracts. Having a single place where I can cast a wide net and search everything is so helpful to me. Instead of going down my list one vendor at a time – and some of them just take hours to find anything – I can just go to CoProcure and do a single search.”

- Toby Giddings, Marion County, OR

If you’re planning on attending the CAPPO Expo, please stop by booth #321 to say hello and for a quick demo of CoProcure. We will also be hosting an educational session called Work smarter, not harder: new tactics for procurement collaboration in the digital age on Monday 1/31 at 10:15am.

If you won’t be joining us in person, you can schedule a demo to learn more or start searching right away on our free website.
