ProcureNow Procurement Automation Cloud – The Next Generation of E-Procurement

Modernizing the procurement toolkit is a hot topic these days.  In the public sector, 2020 created urgency for anyone accepting only paper bids and RFP responses to either implement paperless bidding or begin the transition to paperless. Besides paperless bids and RFP responses, there is another movement that picked up speed:  leveraging the cloud to gain procurement efficiency with workflow automation and online collaboration.

In 2017, ProcureNow worked with the City of Philadelphia and the City of Boston to pilot a tool that would manage the development of solicitations –  trading out word processor templates, network drives, and email with software built to help teams write better solicitations.  In 2018, that partnership was extended to The City of Santa Monica, The City of Milpitas, and the Sacramento Area Council of Governments.   They all shared a vision – if you offered up the right tools to guide teams through the process of developing complex solicitations, the increase in quality, compliance, and readability would result in enormous time savings and more qualified suppliers responding to your important business opportunities.

Moving the starting line of eProcurement to the frontend of the process has resulted in earth shattering results.  Passing around multiple merged versions of bid documents over days, sometimes weeks, can now be counted in hours.  Suppliers are more intuitively guided through the process of reading, understanding, and responding to bids and RFPs.  Evaluation teams are empowered with a click of a button to objectively rank supplier responses.  Public procurement officials can now run their entire procurement process from home if needed… including their mobile devices.  Over 20 California local governments have deployed the ProcureNow as their procurement automation tool in 2020 as this seismic shift in how we do work is here to stay.

In the City of Milpitas, “Centralizing Control While Decentralizing the Work” with the ProcureNow Government Procurement Cloud led to the city-wide transition to work-from-home in March being a non-issue – procurement enablement continued to flow effortlessly throughout the City.

Please join us Wednesday, January 6th at 10AM for our joint session with Zachary DeVine from the City of Milpitas, where we will take you on their journey to form better internal partnerships, improve communications, and achieve earth shattering results – all with modern collaboration practices established between them and their internal customers.  We will then demonstrate how this realignment affects the entire procurement lifecycle – from idea to contract!  Following this session, join us at the Supplier Expo Event from noon to 4PM, and connect with us live while we share the success stories from members of the ProcureNow family in California.

Here’s to achieving something amazing together in 2021!
