Tuesday Craig Rader Memorial Run/Walk - 6:15 AM - 7:15 AM - 1 mile course

2024 Golf Tournament at
Indian Canyons Golf Resort, North Course

Date: Sunday, January 21, 2024

Golf Times: Shot Gun Starts Sharply at 8:00 am

Note: All participants should plan to arrive by 7:00 am (this includes driving range time if needed. Course opens at 6:00 am)

Includes: Cart, Range Balls, BBQ Lunch (Club rentals available onsite, call course in advance to make separate arrangements)

Game Type: 4-Person Scramble 18 Holes

• Check-In at the CAPPO Registration Table
• Practice Range Balls will be provided
• Teams will be released at 10-minute intervals

THE RULES:

• 4-person team members play their tee shot on each hole.
• The best of the 4 tee shots (as determined by the team) is marked, and all 4 players get to play their 2nd shots from that location.
• The team then plays their next shot from the best location of the prior shot until the team finishes the hole.
• This process is continued each hole until the round ends and a score is posted.
• Please note that the team uses the same process once on the green, making birdies much more common than a normal round.

SocialCycle Tour of Palm Springs

Date: Sunday, January 21, 2024

Times:9:30 AM - 11:30 AM or 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (both groups lunch together 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Capacity: 16 riders per bike (12 are peddling seats); Maximum tour 32 people per tour group.

Join us in this fun activity to explore Palm Springs with SocialCycle. The tour will include the Palm Springs Art Museum, local restaurants/bars/breweries, Marilyn Monroe Statue, "PS I Love You" sign for a photo op.  The tour will also include lunch at Las Casuelas Terraza.

Tour fee will cover tour, bike, museum entry, and lunch. Attendees are encouraged to bring water! Beverages can also be purchased along the way. Each participant will need to sign a waiver with the tour company at the start of the tour.

Tentative Agenda

9:30 AM       First Group (up to 32 people) meets at Las Casuelas Terraza - Board the Social Cycle

                      > Walk (about 0.7 mile/17 minutes) from the Renaissance to the restaurant) or drive (parking garage)

                       > 2 hours on cycle with possible stops at Palm Spring Art Museum (or activities nearby), bars, restaurants, breweries, rooftops, Marilyn statue, Museum, “PS I love you” sign for a photo op, etc.

11:30 AM     First Group returns and ends back at Las Casuelas Terraza

11:30 AM     Second Group (up to 32 people) meets at Las Casuelas Terraza

11:30 AM     First and Second Groups (up to 64 people) enjoy family style LUNCH at Las Casuelas Terraza

1:00 PM       Second Group (up to 32 people) departs from Las Casuelas Terraza and Board the Social Cycle to enjoy their two hours of activities.

3:00 PM       Second Group returns and ends back at Las Casuelas Terraza and Head back to Renaissance Hotel to enjoy CAPPO activities

2024 Rader Memorial Run/Walk

Date: Tuesday, January 23, 2024

Times: 6:15 AM - 7:15 AM

Join us on Tuesday morning outside the Palm Springs Convention Center in memory of CAPPO Past President Craig Rader, who passed away this summer from pancreatic cancer.  By registering your donation will be made to a charity designated by Craig's family.  Those who donate will be able to pick up a commemorative t-shirt at the conference in Palm Springs on Sunday or Monday prior to the run. We are encouraging everyone to wear their shirt in memory of Craig and to help promote pancreatic cancer awareness.  We will complete a 1 mile course.
