REGISTRATION CHECK-IN

Registration is open Sunday - Wednesday each day starting at 7:00 am through the last educational session of the day. 

This year we will be using a NEW Self-Print Badging System. When you enter the Monterey Conference Center you will see our registration kiosk and signage. Scan the QR Code and it will bring up a screen to look up your record. Please review it carefully for any errors, make any appropriate corrections then Click Print - the screen will tell you which printer to pick up your badge. Then say hello to our Ambassadors who will provide registered attendees with a FULL conference pass and goodie bag.  

FOR THE CURRENT AGENDA:

HEALTH GUIDELINES / RECOMMENDATIONS

Currently, there are no restrictions at the conference center, hotels, or for large events. However, we do anticipate over 800 people in attendance at the CAPPO Conference and Vendor Expo. Please be diligent and aware of the situation and use precautions that you feel comfortable with. In addition:

  • If you don’t feel well, stay home or isolate yourself in your hotel room and alert our staff of the situation.

  • Please feel free to bring and wear a mask. Although there will be masks available at registration, there is a limited supply. 

There is a walk-up testing location provided by Virus Geeks, which is located at the Portola hotel. This site can be accessed by a walk-up kiosk on the outside of the hotel. They are open Monday - Saturday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. https://my.virusgeeks.com/

MEALS & NETWORKING EVENTS

Sunday, January 8th

  • 5:00pm – 6:30pm Welcome Reception (appetizers and cash bar)

Monday, January 9th

  • 7:00am – 7:45am Chapter Networking with Coffee and Breakfast Pastries

  • 11:45am – 1:00pm Business Meeting (plated lunch) 

  •  8:00pm - 10:00pm Dessert Networking Reception at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
    (Round trip shuttles provided between the Conference Center & the Aquarium)

Tuesday, January 10th  

  • 8:00am – 10:00am President’s Breakfast & Recognition (plated breakfast) 

  • 11:30am – 1:00pm Lunch in the Vendor Expo

Wednesday, January 11th  

  • 7:00am – 8:00am Networking by Agency Type with Coffee and Breakfast Pastries

  • 11:30am – 1:30pm Lunch & Keynote Closing Session with Dr. Robert Eyler (plated lunch)

WHAT TO WEAR

  • The dress code for the conference is business casual.

WEATHER

The weather will be in the low to high 50's in the day and low mid 40's at night. There is also a chance of showers every day, so consider bringing an umbrella or raincoat. As our event is across three properties/facilities you may need to walk outside at times. Click here for the latest weather forecast. 

 

NEW THIS YEAR - Supplier Demo Rooms

New this year, we have several of our Partners who are running demo’s on Monday, January 9th between 1:00pm - 5:00pm. All demo rooms are located in the Monterey Marriott.

  • Public Purchasing Exchange - Marriott San Diego Room

  • Beacon Bid - Marriott San Francisco Room

  • CompareCoOps - Marriott Santa Monica Room


Payment Policy – We accept payment in the form of a check (made payable to CAPPO), cashier’s check, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). All checks must be received in full by December 16, 2022 in order for an attendee’s registration spot to be guaranteed and not released to other potential attendees. We understand that many agencies pay for conference registrations through purchase orders. Please let your agency’s fiscal or business office know that the final payment form is due by no later than December 16, 2022.

Cancellation Policy:  All cancellations must be received in writing before December 16, 2022  and are subject to a $35 administrative fee. Cancellation received in writing by December 16, 2022 will be refunded less a $35 administrative fee. No refunds after December 16, 2022. Please send your cancellation request to admin@cappo.org

Substitution/Transfer Policy: Transfers can be made in writing prior to Wednesday, January 4, 2023 or onsite for a $35 administrative fee. If you are transferring a member to a non-member attendee, the difference in registration fees will be charged as well.
