"NEGOTIATION PLOYS AND TACTICS: WHAT THEY DON’T TEACH YOU IN PROCUREMENT 101"  This webinar is scheduled for one (1) 60-minute session by Masih Bahadori, CPPB.

Negotiation plays a key role in the day-to-day work of procurement professionals.  Unfortunately, most procurement training and materials on negotiation focus on abstract theories or general concepts that can be applied to any negotiation.  There is little focus on real-life negotiations that is specific to the field of procurement and can be utilized in the day-to-day work of procurement professionals.  This webinar seeks to fill this void by exploring the role of negotiation specific to the field of procurement.  Discussion will center on various ploys used by vendors to gain an advantage so procurement professional will be better equipped to recognize and counter such ploys.  In addition, various tactics will be covered that procurement professionals can use to increase their leverage during negotiations.

Masih Bahadori is currently a Principal Contract Administrator at the Orange County Transportation Authority.  He is an active member of the California Association of Public Procurement Officials and serves on the Legislative & Position Committee of the National Institute of Government Procurement.  Masih has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master’s degree in Communications from San Diego State University with a focus on negotiation research.   He has also completed the Negotiation Mastery course from the Harvard Business School.  With over 11 years of public procurement experience, Masih has led hundreds of procurement and contract negotiations, and he is eager to share with you his experience and knowledge so that you can be a better negotiator and procurement professional.
